Introduction
Hello and welcome to my web page.
My name is Josef Seidl. My love of the German Shepherd Dog started in my birth place, Austria many years ago. The first German Shepherd Dog I purchased here in Australia was a pedigree called “Zandastein Asaboson ‘A’ CDX, ET, AD” (Sabo). Both myself and my daughter Jenny, obedience trained Sabo to achieve his CDX title. Together with Jenny, we also showed Sabo in the conformation ring and in 1982 won the German Shepherd Dog Club's dual trophy for wins in obedience and conformation.
I joined the German Shepherd Dog Club of South Australia in 1981. Since joining the Club I have been an active member of the Committee for many years and have held many positions both on and off the Committee.
Some of the Committee positions I have held and my achievements are:-
· Qualified Obedience Instructor since 1990.
· Branch Manager.
· Grounds man.
· First Vice President.
· Life Member of the G.S.D.C. of S.A. Inc.
I am also a qualified Novice, Open and Endurance Test Obedience Judge.
In 1996 I purchased a female from Hagenstolz Kennels in Melbourne, Hagenstolz Suncard (Evita) and it was after the purchase of Evita that Vomkogelberg Kennels began. I like to travel Australia to attend specialist German Shepherd Dog shows and also to judge in obedience competitions whenever the opportunity arises.
